Hullo promise someone can help?
I went for a scan today at 34 weeks due to having GD, i wis told that baby has stopped growing information technology could be due the placenta restricting food to the baby
They said they will scan once more in ii weeks and if she is non growing they will have to induce
I am very scared
This is starting time baby after five years of trying.
Has anyone else experienced anything like this? Communication and guidance appreciated xxx

Did they but leave yous similar this? How long has information technology since the scan?
I actually wouldn't be comfortable to be left for ii weeks like this esp if there's an effect with the placenta.
Has infant been moving etc?

2 weeks sounds long to me. My SIL had this and the baby was eventually born at 42 weeks - weighing just 4.5lbs! If I were you I would ask for another browse sooner than that, fifty-fifty if you lot accept to pay for a private scan. I'd as well be keeping a actually careful centre on the infant'southward movements.
On the plus side whilst 34 weeks is early, and yous'd ideally desire to get by 37 if y'all can, if they give you steroids for the baby, everything should exist but fine fifty-fifty if he/she came today!

Baby is very active, they said to keep an heart out for my carbohydrate levels for the next three days and if they go loftier then I should ring up .
But with scan they said they volition do another browse in two weeks and if baby is still not growing and so they will induce me.
Equally its just slightly nether the C (used a word i deceit recollect)

Two weeks between growth scans is national standard. Doing it sooner won't tell you anything. I'g bold they must take done a Doppler scan at the aforementioned time as the growth and are happy enough with those figures?

I had this with my son, growth slowed at 28 weeks and stopped at 34. I was monitored daily till 34 weeks and put in hospital on bed balance ( I really didn't want to be induced unless absolutely necessary) my placenta had starting to dice and claret flow was restricted. I went into natural labour at 37+six and my son was built-in weighing 5lb 7. Nosotros had a bumpy journey to start but he is now a bouncing 1 year sometime.
From what I understand they don't scan weekly as there is a margin of error on scanning and you tin can over scan and get such different results. However equally there is a trouble I would asking regular CTGs. My consultant was fab I had them daily and she would browse me every 3 days... not for measurements to just and then that I could see him and blood period could be checked

No experience of this simply simply wanted to say that the survival rates at this sort of gestation are really good nowadays, there is a lot of info and stats available if you google, which might reassure yous.
Best of luck to you lot and your baby

I think a scan to check all is ok rather than growth - perhaps the CTG monitoring is a amend idea, although a browse could expect at the placenta and cord to see if all is ok. Then long equally baby is billowy around it sounds ok just y'all're right to be keeping a five careful middle on information technology.

Hi I'yard going through this at the moment but I don't take GD
I was scanned at 33 weeks and they said she was rather small and not where she should be in terms of growth and weight. They did check the blood flow through to the placenta and measured the fluid which appeared fine.
I had another scan just yesterday And she's gone down on the chart. Not put weight or grown as she should. Again they checked blood flow and measured fluid and I have to get back in around 2 weeks and if it'south still the aforementioned or not much progress I will be induced and they will get her out early.
It has been stressed to me to monitor movements and if I have any doubts dark òr solar day get straight to hospital to get checked.
Information technology'southward very worrying but please empathise if they were immediately worried they would take y'all sent off to the hospital there and so.
If they can they will let the baby get as much from being on the inside as possible and induce when they think it's best for baby to come out weather that's sooner or afterwards.
Also it is possible some of these scans tin can exist out with growth. I've been trying to go on that in mind to calm me down.
All I would stress is to proceed an eye on baby and yourself and if you lot have any doubts, contact your midwives / triage / infirmary for advice or get and get checked. I've had to wait ii weeks and now another 2 weeks so I know how unsettling it can be ⚘

I'thousand am also 34 weeks and 4 days tomarrow I had a growth scan done today and was told that from the last growth scan that was 2 weeks ago baby has simply put on 4 lb that's it. I have some other appointment on this Thursday. I volition accept two growth scans subsequently this every 2 weeks and accept to come across consultant to run across what he/she decide if I need to be induced. I recall h should ask for another scan and go along to get scans washed instead of having to wait for two weeks for 1 scan. practiced luck to u and take intendance
